The American Dream is where people have their freedom and could achieve their goals It also lets them have great opportunities to get good jobs to live a great life and to get paid more The American Dream changed a lot of people because without the American Dream the people would not get what they always wanted like going to school Another reason what the American Dream is that it made the people fit in with the others because they knew that they had a new life ahead of them and they did not want to mess it up The American Dream made people feel happy because it showed them that their lives would change forever and they could be themselves as who they wanted to be It changed their perspective in seeing what the future brought them in ways that they saw many changes The American Dream had the people overcome obstacles that they thought they could not get through even though they had many struggles they made sure that they got the chance to succeed in life It was to have a good life for them and their loves ones people wanted to accomplish things so that they could have a better life for their children and keep climbing the ladder for a better futureEven though people are talking about the American dream the authors Bob Herbert and Cal Thomas have many different views of how the American Dream is fading away such as they describe in their articlesAs a matter of fact in Bob Herberts article he explains many things that are wrong with America The American Dream is dead In his article Hiding from reality Bob Herbert states Whatever you choose to look at the economy and jobs the public schools the budget deficits the nonstop warfare overseas-youll see a country in a sad shape 564 He states this because of the money there are taking away from education the people
