What will you do when you hear a fire alarm What do you get rewarded when you have good grades in your report card What will you become when you play a sport you like since you were a child These are examples of conditionings that people experience in their everyday lives They learn from those events to understand how they affect themselves by doing something that they will remember Classical operant and cognitive conditioning teach the way people learn in society and they occur all around them in special occasions depending how did it taught themThe first one is classical conditioning Its a feeling of some positive or negative emotion when experiencing a stimulus that initially accompanied a pleasant or painful event For example a boy went to the doctors appointment and he is going to take a shot When the boy looks at the needle inserted to his skin he cries in agony as he feels the painful injection The boy remembers how painful it was and he develops a fear of needles A few years later the grown-up boy still has the fear of needles because of the agony experience as child Classical conditioning is a useful learning process for humans and mammals it consist a way to increase their chance of survival whenever something terrible might happenThe next type of conditioning is operant or instrumental This is a different kind of learning process in which a human or a mammal performs some behavior and the following consequences increases or decreases the chance that the human or mammal will again perform that some behavior For instance a teenager receives a report card with failing grades and he was grounded after his parents found out about his grades If he continues to earn more bad grades then he will face more consequences but if he studies hard then he will be ungrounded and get a reward This type of conditioning helps to motivate
