With video games being marketed towards a younger audience andincreasing in graphic violence psychologists have been studying to seeif it has an effect on their mind Games in this era have not been asimmersive and detailed as compared to its predecessors when graphicsonly consisted of pixilated violence with little to no blood They alsowerent even as popular Ever since the gaming industry has been tryingto push the envelope with their game play and violence kids between theages of six and twelve have been much interested Young children like toplay videogames and parents will buy their kids whatever they want Dueto the ESRB ratings that the games provide in order to purchase a gamerated M which seems to garner much attention and success a parent mustbe present in order to buy the game Games today depict violence such asdecapitating heads warlike scenarios intense graphical fights andother violent recreational moments When kids are exposed to thisespecially those at a young age especially those with an ill mind theywill either act out what they see imitate what they play or becomeeasily influenced how they act in their everyday lifeVideo games have changed drastically the past 20 years Theyve evolveddramatically and changed the way games are being played With so muchtechnological improvements in hardware and graphics gaming has neverfelt so real and lifelike These new experiences that couldnt havehappened 20 years ago are able to give kids more features than everbefore The problem with this is that new problems and situations arecreated Since games are accessible to all ages the younger audiencetends to follow their elders or role models When children are exposedto this at a young age their minds begin to think differently comparedto others who havent played these types of games Kids are given somuch control playing a game that they can do whatever they wantvirtually with no consequences being done to them They can experimentand do whatever they please without the fear of getting in troubleOlder
