Jenn's feedback:
"Your essay starts off with a strong introduction. While the essay is neatly formatted, it does not adhere to MLA style guidelines well. There needs to be a header that includes your last name and a page number and a heading that includes your full name, your professor's name, the title of the class, and the date. There are also should not be extra spacing between paragraphs but rather everything should be consistently double-spaced. There are a couple of issues with the style of writing. One is that despite presenting information as fact, there are no citations. If you acquired information from other texts, it is critical that you credit the author of those texts. Also, there are areas of your essay that are not written using scholarly language. You should remove words that make it clear that you are expressing opinion (unless this is an opinion essay) and words like "such" and "just" when they are not necessary. There are a number of grammatical errors either because of missing words, inconsistent tense usage, or word order. These can all be resolved by having the essay thoroughly proofread."
