A Story To Be Proud Of Have you ever sat down in a class when the teacher is taking attendance She calls out the name Ashley everyone turns around and says Here Then a funny look appears on her face as she realizes everyone in the class is named Ashley What are the chances of that happening in this society In the world names are very important to us because they describe who we are and where we cam from Names give each person a certain identity The uniqueness of peoples names makes every person an individual We are all from different places in the world Each country has names that originated from that country This works for both first and last names for example say someones name is Erin Smith Erin is an old Irish name perhaps one of the persons parents was from Ireland and Smith is an English name hence the other parent could be from England Names also help in separating a group of people into different categories In schools students are frequently separated into to home rooms by their last name and usually sit in alphabetical order according to their last name A name is something a human being grows accustom to and owns Imagine if someone tried to change ones name like the teacher changing Santhas name to Cynthia This made Santha feel like two different people A person should be comfortable with their name Santha was comfortable with hers until the teacher said it was to hard to pronounce and changed it Changing your name is something only a person and their parents decide This put Santha in a very awkward situation Not only was she new but also on the first day the teacher had her named changed Obviously her parents gave her that name for a reason and it was not supposed to be changed Parents choose names based on many different reasons People who
