Natalie's feedback:
"As an avid traveler myself, I don’t know what I would do without airplanes! This was a great argumentative essay. You stayed focused on the topic, had a captivating introduction and a comprehensive conclusion, and did a wonderful job of including and dissecting an opposing viewpoint (which is a key part of argumentative essays)!
There were some areas that were a little repetitive, so be sure to change up your wording when you repeat a key point. There were also a few formatting errors, so I would suggest looking at an online MLA style guide. A fantastic online guide can be found by searching “Purdue OWL MLA style guide.” I love this style guide in particular because it has a lot of helpful, specific information about MLA. This guide also includes a sample paper, which is really helpful if you’re a visual learner like me. Be sure to check that out and make the appropriate corrections.
There were also some conventional errors that I noticed, mostly when it came to commas. Remember: commas usually go after introductory words and phrases. A great way to catch little conventional errors (misspelled words, punctuation mistakes, etc.) is by reading your writing out loud! When we read inside of our heads, we tend to skip over a lot. Reading out loud makes sure that you read every word, helping you to identify the areas that might need some revision. With a few corrections to the formatting and some careful proofreading, you will have a wonderful argumentative essay. Great job!"
