"The details about what you gained from specific experiences are excellent, and you've made a good attempt at showing your progression through medical training. However, many details are very general/broad and lack specifics and depth. Ideally, your intro should vividly capture what drew you to medicine (it’s very broad and less connected to you specifically in the current form); a short narrative of a key moment (just a few lines) can be super effective for this. You should also ideally have anecdotes that highlight the skills you write about having, especially those that make you a natural fit for the internal medicine specialty; touch on your future goals; and get more detailed about what you hope to gain from the residency program (generally if it will be used to apply to many). Finally, ending with more oomph to leave a stronger lasting impression would be ideal (if you use a narrative at the beginning, you can often circle back to that to create good cohesion and oomph in the final lines). Addressing those content areas, improving the language to avoid wordiness/overuse of modifiers, cleaning up grammar/punctuation, and strengthening word choices and flow would really allow your statement to shine."
