Bridget's feedback:
"Your direct and energetic approach to the text shows good engagement with the material. Your discussion moves logically in proving the clearly articulated thesis. The writing is likewise dynamic, with good control of mechanics.
Some of the quoted material feels superfluous to the discussion; for example, quoting Cyrano's speech on love gives the reader a nice glimpse at the text but takes up a fair bit of real estate for a point that is ultimately secondary to the thesis. Are all the lines needed, or can you choose the most demonstrative of those? As a final comment regarding your thesis, which is clear and targeted: can you push it a little further? How does acknowledging Cyrano's role in his own downfall extend our understanding of the text, whether in theme, message, or commentary?"
