Bridget's feedback:
"I enjoyed this exploration of heroes and villains, especially how it blends cultural figures, real people, and your own personal experiences. I would like to check in with you regarding the prompt and purpose, as you mention "In the books we have read this six weeks"--do you analyze any of those specifically in the essay? The examples you give are pretty wide-ranging and go beyond books, and you will want to make sure your chosen texts and focus match up with the expectations.
An area I recommend focusing on as you move forward is in organization. The discussion rather meanders from example to example, but consider other structures, such as according to themes or concepts (duality, evil, etc.) or source type (books, movies, real life), which peek through in this current draft. A reverse outline is a great way to get a sense of where your ideas are overlapping. I think ending on the personal note is effective, so I recommend accommodating this choice however you structure the next draft.
Make sure to proofread for errors (capitalization errors, sentence fragments), and I recommend checking over your diction. A personal essay can make use of style or informal language, but you will want to consider the impact of word choice (e.g., the rather blithe "Ted Bundy's shenanigans")."
