According to the VALS survey I am a strive personality I disagree with this conclusion First I found the survey to be faulty in the fact that there is no neutral answer for when I did not have an opinion at all or when the answers did not fit my personality at all Second a striver are trendy slightly money-obsessed and prefer to shop with people to show off their wealth While there is nothing wrong with being trendy I dont think of myself as trendy at all I have my own style and I prefer to avoid all trends when I can Also I have no desire for money and I hate shopping with people I like to shop by myself as I find it less pressuring to spend money carelessly and to relax more than shop Finally strivers spend their money carelessly Coming from a Christian home I prefer to buy only that which I need most because that is how my parents have always taught I personally would probably fall under the category of thinker more since they are fairly more conservative with their spending money and reflect a greater view on the Christian life Strivers on the other hand do not reflect a Biblical worldview at all They are fairly careless with their money and they mainly care about superficial material Matthew 61920 speaks directly against the care for world possessions for they will all eventually perish in time The world is only a temporary place Our treasures should be in heaven not in this worldThis advertisement targets my group because my group wants the newest and hottest stuff The creators of the ad took specific time targeting my group They made sure to add the words Best-Selling and World Strivers would want this Kindle because they would want to make sure to have something everyone else has and to show off the fact that they have it Researchers are using
