Bridget's feedback:
"You do a good job keeping the overall organization focused on the novel's positive impact on readers. The paragraphing and clear topic sentences ensures the reader can follow the path of the discussion. Some of the information about banning the book that comes in the conclusion might be better used in the introduction to create a sense of stakes and urgency--this sets up the problem more robustly for the reader. Keep an eye on mechanics and properly formatting the titles of your sources: italicize the novel's title and make sure to capitalize the source names as needed. The major task with this paper will be moving the body paragraphs from summary to analysis. They are quite long and reliant on plot detail; try to shift the focus toward claims and the most powerful supporting evidence. Focusing the topic sentences may help focus the discussion--rather than writing the novel achieves something "for many reasons," can you pick, name, and focus on the single most relevant example? This will create impact and persuasiveness."
