In this essay I will be talking about the blitz World War 2 started in 1939 and lasted until 1945 This war caused a lot of sufferings as well as deaths I will be telling you if I think the blitz spirit was a myth or if it was true I will be using evidence to back my point The blitz spirit was to help people carry on with their lives like it was normal even if it was hard Keep calm and carry on was a sayingquote which was to help motivate people A lot of peoples interpretations were that the blitz spirit was true they think that everybody worked together it didnt matter if you were rich or poor and everyone helped out Whether a lot of peoples interpretations were that the blitz spirit was a myth they say that they didnt care about the averagepoor people they just wanted to be safe and away from everyone so theyd runaway to the country side I will be giving you evidence showing the blitz spirit was real or fakeSome Historians and people who were there at the time of the blitz argue that the blitz spirit was a myth There is quite a few evidence to support their interpretations for example w police officer who was there at the time said that the crime increased 57 during the war and that some people would loot steal things from peoples houses after their houses were bombed A modern historian also said that from what they have researched they think the blitz spirit was a myth because the rich people didnt help anyone but themselves that they were heartless and stingy William Joyce was a guy who also experienced the war he said when times were hard for him and his family and everybody around him who were just like him none of the rich helped and they all just went out partying and were having
