Einstein was very good at physics He was born in Ulm Germany where he grew up in Munich and his family was Jews but did not practice it Not very much is known about him when he was a kid He was real slow in learning to speak He was thought to be mentally retarded Some people have thought he was dyslexic A headmaster told his father that whatever Einstein wanted to do when he got older wouldnt matter because hell never be good at anything He began learning to play the violin at six and became very good for a beginner and kept his talent Einstein attended the Luitpold Gym in Munich and he didnt like it because it was too strict He was really interested in physics math and read a lot in both subjects Finally at age 15 he left Luitpold without getting his diploma Without a gym diploma Einstein couldnt get in a German University so he enrolled himself in the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich He didnt really like the democratic people in Switzerland so he took back his German citizenship which he kept for the rest of his life After graduating he held several teaching jobs and became a helper at the Swiss Patent Office in Berne where he stayed for six years The best thing about the job is that it gave him time to think about physics Between 1901 and 1904 Einstein published five papers on physics In one he basically proved the existence of molecules in another he showed that light is both a wave and a particle In his sixth paper on the Electrodynamics of moving bodies published in summer of 1905 he established the outline of his special theory of relativity His arguments extremely revised existing opinions of electromagnetism light and the behavior of moving bodies as set forth Newtonian physics Einstein said that the speed of light is constant and that
