The greatest part of editing is enabling brilliant ideas to shine. When you write something, you've worked hard on it, and you know your stuff. I love editing because I get to help your writing along; to make sure it isn't bogged down by complicated language rules. I believe great ideas should flourish, and it's my privilege to make them more accessible with my editor's hand.

I've worked in college admissions, academic publishing, and children's and young adult publishing, giving me a little extra edge in those areas. I hold a special place in my editing heart for social sciences and subjects related to social justice.

I genuinely enjoy most types of editing, because every document is an opportunity to learn something new, whether it's invigorating academic research, intriguing fiction worldbuilding, or the professional particularities of a resume or cover letter.

It's a bit boring to just say I like reading, so I'll confess to another favourite hobby: playing Minecraft!
