Graduating from a College Preparatory High School with Gold Honors you would assume one is prepared and ready to begin their College experience Unfortunately it did not work that way for me I experienced it a bit reversely encountering issues I was not ready to face My first few years in college before I transferred to University of California Riverside was an unforgettable time Due to serious financial issues my family and I were forced to move several times from city to city Moving six times in the matter of three years made me feel like a nomad because nowhere felt like home This left me with continuous stress and severe anxiety that I struggled to face I was unable to fully focus and work to my maximum ability during these few years however the thought of quitting or giving up never crossed my mind As I entered UCR I struggled my first quarter but ensured that I would do better the following quarters Although I retook a few courses and my grades fluctuated I promised myself that I would do whatever it takes to maintain a steady GPA that would honor my ability as a pre-law student As of last quarter I maintained a 35 GPA while studying for the LSAT and ending my quarter with a very tragic death in my immediate family As far as the LSAT I received a 144 on the October exam and had planned to take the December hoping for a higher and respectable score Due to the sudden shocking loss of my grandmother I was unable to take the December LSAT and ensure any sort of increase I feel that my score does not represent nor define my ability to become an Attorney but I do aspire to overcome the intensity of this exam so that my score is better represented My passion and skill to critically think is instilled within me not in the number I
