Tell us about a personal quality talent accomplishment contribution or experience that is important to you What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you areAs the President of the Economics Club Foothill College I had experienced and learned a lot about how to be a capable leader moreover my personality and talent had been reshaped by the experience When I was elected I do not trust in myself I suspected my own ability to be a leader As I do not have any experience in being a club president everything was difficult for me at the beginning There are a lot of procedures that I need to go through before I can reactivate and initiate the club but I have no idea how to proceed My officers did not seem to be very helpful and therefore I had to do everything alone I have a strong sense of duty and I thought as I was the club president I have the responsibility to take up all the jobs that need to be done I sacrificed all my private time to the club issues and of course it made me extremely exhausted My club advisor was aware of this problem he made me realize that I was doing too much for the club just by myself and contributed to my feelings of overwhelmness I grasped that a good leader is not the one who finishes everything alone but the one who can appropriately manage the club events and to coordinate the board in order to make it as productive and efficient as possible I determined to reorganize the club I wrote a constitution and stated the responsibilities and duties of each officer precisely In this way all of them will have a clear concept and idea about what are they suppose to do And the result turns out to be very significant I conceived that within
